Steel has a resume far beyond his years. He’s been pasture roped on, logged countless miles through thick brush and rough terrain, and been put into high-stress ranch situations that many horses twice his age have never experienced. From deer jumping up in the woods, to equipment clattering down the road, Steel stays calm, focused, and steady. He’s got a good one-hand neck rein, is soft in the bridle, and responsive to both leg and seat cues. He’s handy with all the buttons—side pass, turn around, leg yield—but if you don’t want a performance horse, he’s just as content to relax and enjoy the trail.

One of Steel’s best qualities is his versatility with riders. He has been ridden by every level of rider, from confident hands to those still learning, and he’s always willing to “take a joke” without holding it against you. That steady, forgiving temperament makes him the kind you can put your trust in. Steel is also a great size—easy to mount and dismount, yet sturdy and strong enough to carry an adult with ease. His kind and gentle temperament makes him safe to be around both in and out of the saddle, and his straightforward, no-nonsense attitude makes him the kind of horse that settles in anywhere. He hauls, ties, and stands for the farrier without a fuss, making him as easy to manage as he is to ride.
